Lee Celebrates Grand Opening of New Toyota Dealership

Hundreds of people celebrated the grand opening of Lee Auto Malls 20th dealership during an invitation-only reception on June 7.

The gathering was held at the new Lee Toyota facility on Main Street in Topsham, which officially opened for business in May. Well-wishers included Former Governor Angus King, Maine's independent candidate for U.S. Senate, and David Power, formerly of JD Power and Associates.

Both special guests delivered speeches to honor the occasion that marks growth for the Maine-owned company, the Town of Topsham and the state.
The new 39,000-sq ft Lee Toyota dealership has a sprawling new-car lot, 22 service bays, administrative offices and a welcoming customer-service area. Construction was managed by Advantage Construction Inc. with the support of 30 subcontracted vendors, most of which hail from Maine. Lee Toyota now employs approximately 60 sales, service and administrative professionals.

"There are hundreds of people who have contributed to the opening of Lee Toyota, and I really want to thank each and every one of them," says Adam Lee, chairman of Lee Auto Malls. "We expect this new dealership to be one of our most successful thanks to the support of everyone here at our grand opening."

"Toyota has proved themselves over and over again," says David Power, formerly of JD Power and Associates. "I believe this dealership will be a big boost to the local economy."

"I'm here to thank the Lee team for bringing this incredible facility here that will serve this community for many years and will serve the state of Maine," says Former Governor Angus King, Maine's independent candidate for U.S. Senate. "This is a great day for Maine."

Lee Toyota is continuing its grand-opening celebration throughout the weekend. The general public is welcome to visit the store during regular business hours, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Lee Toyota features hundreds of 2012 cars, trucks and SUVs ranging from the Prius to the Tacoma. The showroom also features the latest hybrid and electric cars.
