Maine’s hospitals remain overcrowded and understaffed and our front-line hospital workers continue to work incredibly long hours with few breaks.

Lee Auto Malls continues our support of Maine’s front-line healthcare workers and would like to thank Becky’s Diner for creating and helping us deliver the latest round of lunches to Maine Medical Center in Portland for the past two days. Additionally, Tuesday evening they helped provide breakfast sandwiches for the overnight shift.
As hospitalizations due to COVID-19 surged across the country and in Maine, our healthcare workers have been overwhelmed and under stress. Lee Auto Malls is continuing its support of these incredible individuals.
This October, working with local area restaurants, Lee Auto Malls will be providing lunches at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Rumford Hospital, Bridgton Hospital, Mercy Hospital in Portland, and MaineGeneral in Augusta.
Lee Auto Mall is pleased to partner with United Way of Androscoggin County for their 13th Annual Backpack program. Every summer, United Way hosts the Backpack Project to supply backpacks filled with school supplies for the upcoming school year. The Backpack Project is one of many ways that United Way works to increase the academic success and high school graduation rates for students in our region.
We are continuing our efforts to provide lunch for hundreds of front-line hospital workers who battle the COVID-19 pandemic each and every day.
“Front-line hospital workers have been put under incredible stress by the pandemic,” said Lee Auto Malls Chairman Adam Lee. “We’re trying to let them know they haven’t been forgotten and how much their work is appreciated."
This month, Lee Auto Malls wants to thank the Maine health care workers who are on the front lines in battling the pandemic. As a small token of our appreciation, Lee will deliver hundreds of box lunches from area restaurants to several Maine hospitals on the last two Fridays in January. Thank you to everyone who is helping their fellow Mainers through this difficult time. We’re all in this together!
